Reunion of 1948 "Joiners" - The Plough Pub, Enfield In 2008, the late Roger Berwick conceived the idea of a reunion for the 1948 Westbere Road intake, to celebrate the passage of 60 years since we all joined the school. These reunions have continued, usually attracting some 20 OH from that era. This year’s lunch was held at The Plough pub in Crews Hill, Enfield and was organised by Brian Willcocks. Michael Heppner paid a warm tribute to Roger after lunch and it was resolved to continue to meet as both a tribute to Roger’s original initiative and because all concerned had a thoroughly good time! 2009 Leavers Reunion
A reunion for recent leavers from 2009 took place during the worst of the winter at the Clubhouse, despite the dire travel warnings around 20 hardy souls made it to Croxdale Road and swapped updates on their adventures and experiences since leaving the School. 1986 Leavers Reunion 60 boys and 25 girls who left their respective Haberdashers’ Schools in 1986 gathered at a bar near Liverpool Street Station and enjoyed a long evening of catching up. By chance they met a stone’s throw from the site of the original school in Hoxton. 1982 Leavers Reunion A large group of 1982 leavers meet on a regular basis at the Freemason’s Arms in Hampstead. 1968 Leavers 40th Anniversary Reunion. Held at the School in June 2008.Around 70 people (Habs and partners, plus honoured guests) attended on a day blessed with excellent weather. Afternoon tea was followed by tour(s) of the School, pre-dinner drinks and a 3 course meal, a couple of short speeches, and final drinks. Many of the overseas travellers made a weekend of it with organised meals at local hotels on the Friday evening and a Sunday lunchtime visit to the School for Old Boys Day and the chance of a barbecued burger cooked by the Yeabsleys. 1998 Leavers Reunion. This was held at the Abacus in London on 2nd February 2005. Thanks to Nick Edelman we have 27 pictures, some slightly out of focus, that suggest a good time was had by all...particularly by Mr Berger! |

1968 Leavers Reunion. Probably the largest reunion to take place to date with well over 100 participants. Organised from New York. Memorabilia from the reunion has been transferred in 2004 onto this web site and can be found here. |
